“There is nothing more expensive than unwell, tired employees”

Triathlete, author, lecturer and public health devotee Jonas Colting is known for his candid approach to public health. On one point he is extra clear: unwell, unhappy and passivated people pose a great challenge for the whole of society. Mainly for individuals who feel bad, but also for society in the form of sick leave costs and for the employer who loses both competence-wise and economically when a member of staff is sick.
“It’s not just the money, but also the work that is not done. I think we speak too little about what can be done in terms of preventive measures,” says Jonas.
